The Global Bangladeshi Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) officially launched on September 25, 2026, with an inauguration ceremony and a "Meet the Press" event held as part of the Invest Bangladesh gathering organized by mCapital at the Marriott Marquis, Times Square, Manhattan, New York.

At the launch, Quazi M. Ahmed was elected Founding President of GBCC, a nonprofit chamber registered in the State of New York. He credited his co-founders, Sheikh Galib Rahman and Radwan Chowdhury, for placing their trust in him to serve as founder president, noting that building GBCC from the ground up would not be easy, but was a challenge they had taken on together.

The launch was honored by the presence of Nobel Peace Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus; Ashik Chowdhury, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA); and former Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, alongside business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, and community leaders from around the world.

GBCC was presented to the audience as a unique global chamber built by Global Bangladeshis, for Global Bangladeshis, with a vision to connect entrepreneurs and leaders in Bangladesh with nonresident Bangladeshis and the wider diaspora, opening doors to trade, investment, partnerships, innovation, and shared prosperity. Guests joined from Bangladesh, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and beyond.

The chamber's focus spans international trade, business development, cross-border partnerships, investment facilitation, professional networking, and market entry opportunities across multiple countries.

Under the banner "One Network. Global Opportunities.", GBCC's founding team says the aim now is to build a network that future generations of Global Bangladeshis will be proud to inherit.
